A Record-Breaking 18th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Half Marathon
Last year’s edition was full of milestones. Nearly 13,500 runners crossed the finish line, making it the largest half marathon in Polish history!
The event also hosted the 33rd Polish Half Marathon Championships under the auspices of the Polish Athletics Association. Top Polish athletes battled it out, and two championship records were set by Monika Jackiewicz and Mateusz Kaczor.
International stars shone as well—Fabienne Königstein and Domenika Mayer, the first two women to finish, achieved personal bests and qualified for the European Championships in Rome. In total, six women from the top eight set new personal records during this remarkable race.
With results like these, Warsaw proved itself as a runner’s paradise. Beyond the competitive aspect, participants also enjoyed a unique sightseeing experience, running through car-free city streets. This spring running festival offers a perfect start to the season—don’t miss out!
Accompanying Event – New Balance High Five Race
The tradition of the March half marathon includes a 5-kilometer companion race, the New Balance High Five Race. This event offers an excellent opportunity to test yourself over a short distance, chase a personal best, or even debut in a street race. Each year, the 5K event also sets its own participation records!
